The 5 Highest Paid Fighters of UFC
With the UFC now valued in the region of $4 billion, who’s getting paid?
1. Conor McGregor ($15.2 million)
If you haven’t been living under a rock for the last 10 years, allow me to introduce Mr. Flash that loves talking trash, “The Notorious” Connor McGregor.
2. Alistair Overeem ($9.8 million)
Alistair “The Demolition Man” Overeem made a huge splash in his UFC debut with a first-round TKO over Brock Lesnar. Sports Daily reported he earned nearly $386,000 for that fight. Since his debut, Overeem has made 16 appearances inside the octagon with his last 6 fights earning him a cool $800,000 on each occasion.
3. Khabib Nurmagomedov ($8.6 million)
With an undefeated record of 28-0-0 and a fourth-round win over Connor McGregor that alone fetched him a $2.5M purse. There’s no way “The Eagle” wouldn’t have made the list.
He will most likely be securing Overeem’s spot as the second-highest-paid fighter after he touches gloves with Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 scheduled to go down on October 24, 2020.
Anderson “The Spider” Silva has a record of 34-10-0 with 24 of those fights being with the UFC. Now at the ripe age of 45, Silva will most likely be looking to retire soon, but not before he steps in the Octagon one more time with Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 181 scheduled for Halloween, October 31, 2020.
5. Michael Bisping ($7.1 million)
Another fighter making his UFC debut in 2006, Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping retired after fighting 29 times in the UFC. The 41 year old now hosts a podcast called “Believe You Me” with comedian Luis J. Gomez.
